Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change
a comprehensive programme aimed at transforming Wales' arts sector to make it truly representative of contemporary Wales.
Thanks to funding from the Culture, Heritage and Sport Wales Anti-racist Fund, provided by the Welsh Government, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, and the other national arts companies*, are launching Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change – a comprehensive programme aimed at transforming Wales' arts sector to make it truly representative of contemporary Wales.
Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change will offer a framework for transforming the companies involved into organisations that are better equipped to attract and recruit people from the global majority at all levels and can provide inclusive workplaces and organisational culture – and will do so by developing a programme of training and organisational development for the participating companies.
To ensure relevance and to reflect the lived experience of the communities that we want to attract and engage in our workforces and audiences, the programme of work will be co-designed with the Critical Friends Working Group – a paid group of people from the global majority.
Up to 18 organisations will be able to take part in Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change, and strands of work will include training for staff and freelancers (including anti-racism training); a review of the companies' working practices particularly in relation to HR and recruitment; and opportunities to develop leaders from the global majority.
We are currently recruiting Critical Friends and procuring Project Management Services. For more information about these opportunities follow the links below:
