Due to current restrictions, our classes and shows are currently not running. We are following Welsh Government and industry guidance and will post updates on our website and social media when we make any changes.
We’re very pleased to say that following the new guidelines from Welsh Government we have started to be able to open up Dance House.
We are starting by enabling our dancers to move together in our studio spaces again, in small bubbles. This means working across both studios in rotating schedules.
We are currently unable to open the studios to the public yet – we do hope you understand.
You can still dance along with us at home by using our online classes, or even by volunteering with our online Dance for Parkinson’s classes
If you would kindly like to support us during this difficult this time, visit our donations page
For the most up to date information on the Dance House please follow us on social media or check back as guidelines change.
The Dance House is always buzzing with activity from the creation and rehearsal of National Dance Company Wales’ repertoire, to a range of participatory activities.
Wales Millennium Centre
We look forward to welcome you to the Dance House.
If you are coming to a performance at the Dance House, all tickets can be booked and collected from the Wales Millennium Centre ticket office which is a short walk away from the Dance House.
Doors at the Dance House open 20 minutes before the show start time.
Due to the intimate nature of the Dance House, latecomers will not be permitted more than 15 minutes after the start of a performance.
We have a small lounge area, but no foyer or refreshments facilities, although we now have a pop up bar available at most evening performances.
There are plenty of refreshments available in the Wales Millennium Centre or at numerous places in Cardiff Bay.
Please feel free to contact us if you are new to the area and would like to know more!
Where we are
We are a resident organisation at the Wales Millennium Centre along with Welsh National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Touch Trust, Tŷ Cerdd, Literature Wales, Hijinx and Urdd. The Centre is a creative hub where we create both individual works and collaborate and partner on other works. You can find us behind the Wales Millennium Centre on Pierhead Street, opposite the National Assembly for Wales.
