Give your time and help with Dance to Health sessions Swansea
Dance to Health is looking for more volunteers to help with weekly sessions in Pontardulais and Gorseinon.
In partnership with National Dance Company Wales, Aesop and Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University (ABMU) Health Board, Dance to Health is a pioneering older people’s falls prevention dance programme. It combines evidence-based exercise with the creativity, energy and sociability of dance.
Dance to Health has been so successful in South Wales in the last 10 months that more volunteers are needed to help support and run the sessions. Dance to Health is looking for a whole range of older and younger people to support the sessions each week.
Dance to Health is looking for volunteers to be Peer Motivators aged 50+ who are enthusiastic about dance and movement and will support participants during sessions. Dance to Health is also looking for dance support volunteers who can be anyone aged between 18 to 50 years of age, who is fit and active and wants to support the project. Ideally they would have some experience in sports, dance, gymnastics, Pilates, yoga or another physical activity.
The sessions are held at:
- Brighton Road Club, Gorseinon - Tuesday, 10.30am - 12.30pm
- The Institute, Pontarddulais Swansea - Tuesday, 1.30pm - 3.30pm
